Obscure Horror Movie Trailer--5/10: 'The Blob' (1988)

In the 1980s there was a holy trinity of good horror remakes. It started with 1982's 'The Thing', was picked up by David Cronenberg's masterpiece: 'The Fly', and it ended  with an underrated gem, 'The Blob'.

'The Blob' (a remake of a 1958 film that shares the same name) is directed by Chuck Russell and written by Frank Darabont (director of 'Shawshank Redemption' and 'The Green Mile'). It's got a really kick ass lead and an awesome set of gory/bizarre practical special effects.
