Obscure Horror Movie Trailers--7/10: 'House of 1000 Corpses'

Heavy Metal musician, Rob Zombie, packs a lot of gruesome, visual punch into his live shows, so it makes total sense for him to direct horror films. He has directed five feature "films" so far, and I believe that his 2003 directorial debut, 'House of 1000 Corpses' is his best work.

Before he was making the overrated 'Devil's Rejects' or destroying any dignity the 'Halloween' franchise had, he created a silly--yet stylish--homage to seventies slasher films. I'll be the first to admit that this is not for everyone, but if you're okay with distasteful violence and crazy special effects, you'll have a good time. Macabre fun with great camera work, good performances from Rainn Wilson, Chris Hardwick and Sid Haig as the wonderfully funny (and frightening), Captain Spaulding.

Now all Rob Zombie needs is someone to write his dialogue....
