Obscure Horror Movie Trailer--6/10: 'Near Dark'

Kathryn Bigelow is an Academy Award winning director of such intense war thrillers as 'The Hurt Locker' and 'Zero Dark Thirty'. Yet, once upon a time in the late 80s, Bigelow directed an insanely awesome modern vampire western.

With stunning cinematography, well developed characters, a relevant subtext about the AIDS epidemic, cool shootouts and a chilling performance from Bill Paxton; a cop-out ending is the only thing that you can say negatively about this film. A smarter than average vampire flick.
